How we judge

• Good to fly Wind up to 15 km/h, gusts up to 25, rain unlikely.
• Use judgement Wind up to 25 km/h, gusts up to 40, rain possible, fog, below zero or above 35 °C: for experienced pilots.
• Better not Stronger wind or gusts, rain, snow or thunderstorms.

For drones with GPS we also look at the Kp index of geomagnetic storms: from 5 upwards the GPS may be wrong.

Forecast from the Italian ICON-2I weather model (ItaliaMeteo-ARPAE, 2.2 km grid) via Open-Meteo, for the runway coordinates, and NOAA Kp index, updated every half hour. They are forecasts: at the field the flight operations manager always decides.
