When none of them is at the field, the first UAS operator or remote pilot to arrive is in charge, until one of them arrives.
If something happens with a model
- Model out of controlWarn the people nearby straight away, “Watch out, model out of control!”, and cut the throttle.
- A LiPo battery swelling, smoking or burningMove people away and don’t touch it. Cover it with sand or use the extinguisher; if the fire spreads, call 112.
- Propeller cutPress hard on the wound with a clean cloth. If it bleeds a lot or the cut is deep, call 112.
- Model down outside the fieldDon’t run across roads and crops: tell the person in charge and recover it calmly, asking the landowner’s permission.
- After an accident, even with nobody hurtIf you are a member, report it with “Report a problem” in the app, with photos if you have them; otherwise tell the board in person or at aerbi@aerbi.it. It is needed for the insurance.
